PlugZ Edge Network
PlugZ is building its own edge network — a decentralized layer where member-operated nodes help serve and relay PlugZ platform content, backed by POP, PlugZ's closed-loop credit. It is part of the PlugZ DePIN program, it is in development, and it is not yet available to members.
What the PlugZ Edge Network is
A member-powered edge network
The PlugZ Edge Network is a decentralized layer where member-operated nodes help serve and relay PlugZ platform content — for example delivering catalog and media closer to where people are. The goal is for PlugZ to run more of its own content delivery, and to back POP with real edge work, rather than paying that value out to third parties. This is a DePIN program in development, not a live consumer product.

How it is designed to work
Member nodes are designed to relay and cache PlugZ's own platform traffic — bringing content closer to users and contributing measurable edge work. They are not open exit points routing arbitrary third-party traffic to the public internet.
Members who run a node are designed to provide edge and relay capacity for PlugZ's own traffic. This is a planned capability — not a consumer VPN tunneling product — and it is not active today.
A planned membership benefit
Participation in the PlugZ Edge Network is designed to be part of eligible PlugZ membership, without a separate subscription. This capability is in development and is not yet available to turn on. Availability is expected to expand as the network is built out.
Run a node and earn POP (planned)
As the network is built out, members will be able to opt in to contribute edge capacity by running a node. Participation is designed to be entirely optional, and whether your node is active would always be shown clearly inside the app. This capability is not yet available.
Running a node will be opt-in and always visible
You would decide whether to run a node and be able to turn it off at any time. While a node is active, the app is designed to show a clear, in-app indicator — on mobile, a transparent foreground notification — so you always know it is running. This is planned; nodes cannot be run yet.
Light nodes on mobile
On phones and tablets, nodes are designed to be lightweight and battery-aware, contributing modest edge capacity while you have the app running. This is planned and not yet available.

Heavier nodes on desktop
On desktop and always-on machines, nodes are designed to contribute more edge capacity, which is intended to earn more POP for the capacity provided. This is planned and not yet available.

Earning POP for contributing (planned)
Once the program is live, members who run a node are designed to earn POP — PlugZ's closed-loop credit — for the edge capacity they contribute. POP is intended to be usable within the PlugZ ecosystem. This earning capability is in development and is not yet available. How contributions would translate into POP is described on the token and pricing-transparency pages, so there is a single source of truth.
Join the Edge Network
Reserve your node identity, then run it on an always-on computer. A browser tab is not a node — running one needs the PlugZ edge client software.
Our privacy approach
We aim to be honest about what the network can and cannot do. Relaying platform traffic through a distributed network can reduce direct exposure of some connection details, but it is not a consumer anonymity product, and no network can make any user fully anonymous or untraceable.
What we do

- We aim to collect only what is needed to operate and protect the service
- Some operational and security records may be kept to run the network, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations
- Data handling is governed by our published privacy policy

We do not claim to keep no records of any kind, and we do not promise anonymity, untraceability, or invisibility to every party. Status and roadmap
The PlugZ Edge Network is part of the PlugZ DePIN program and is in development. The capabilities described here are planned; they are not fully available today, and details may change as the network is built out.
In development
The underlying network and reward rails exist in PlugZ infrastructure and are being validated internally. Member-facing access and opt-in node participation are not yet enabled.

Enabling member participation in stages, refining the node experience, and defining how contributed edge work translates into POP.
