Pricing Transparency
How PlugZ shows resale-market prices — and how buyers and sellers actually agree on the final price.
How pricing works on PlugZ
PlugZ does not set or compute a single "true" price for an item. It is a bid/ask marketplace: sellers post asks, buyers post bids, and a sale happens when the two meet — you always agree the final price with the other side. To help you decide, every product page shows reference market data supplied by a third-party market-data provider alongside the current activity on PlugZ itself.
PlugZ marketplace activity
Drawn directly from PlugZ’s own order book for the item:
- Last confirmed sale on PlugZ
- Current lowest ask and highest bid
- Per-size availability
- Transaction volume and recent trend
- The spread between the best bid and the best ask
Reference market data
Supplied by a third-party market-data provider and processed by PlugZ Market-Intelligence. These are aggregated resale-market signals describing activity outside PlugZ — reference only, never PlugZ transactions:
- Recent resale sales history (last sale, 30-day average, price change)
- Per-size lowest asks and availability
- Style code / reference (retail) data used to match the correct product
How the final price and fees are set
The transaction price is the one a buyer and seller agree on through the bid/ask book — never a figure PlugZ dictates. At checkout, PlugZ adds a verification fee based on the item’s category and value tier (see the schedule below) as part of the order total — never a separate charge — and your payment is held in escrow and released to the seller only after the item passes verification. The verifier receives a 60% base share, adjusted by performance within a 50–70% range; the platform retains the remainder.
Verification fee schedule
The verification fee is fixed by category for items up to $2,000, and a small percentage of item value above $2,000 (the Tier 2 amount is the minimum). It is paid by the buyer at purchase, inside the order total. The verifier receives a 60% base share, adjusted by performance within a 50–70% range; the platform retains the remainder.
